From October 5 to 18, discover the art therapy creations made by patients at the CATTG and the CMP in Istres. The event features a digital exhibition, a collaborative model of a Provençal village, and interactive activities.
Provençal Village – Digital Exhibition and Group Installation
From October 5 to 18, the Micro-Folie in Istres, in partnership with the CATTG and the CMP in Istres, is presenting a digital exhibition featuring works created by patients during the 2025–2026 academic year as part of art therapy workshops.
Inspired by visits to several cultural sites in the region, including the Micro-Folie, these works reflect a year-long artistic and collaborative effort.
At the heart of the exhibition, a 120 × 120 cm model of a Provençal village, installed in the lobby, illustrates this collaborative project. Inspired by a visit to a santon museum and by the traditional craft techniques of nativity scene makers, the participants imagined and built their own village together, with each person contributing to the work using the techniques they learned during the workshops.
The exhibition also features two participatory elements: an interview notebook, designed by the patients and inviting visitors to answer questions and share their stories, as well as a mind tree, whose leaves display words and quotes expressing the thoughts and emotions experienced during the project. Visitors are invited to add their own impressions to it at the end of their visit.
Opening reception open to the public: Monday, October 5, at 3:00 p.m.
