In a lively, accessible production directed by Robin Renucci—head of La Criée—Molière’s language regains its full popular vitality. François Morel, with his flair for the spoken word, embodies an Arnolphe who is at once ridiculous and cruel, while Juliette Cahon imbues Agnès with a commanding grace. Meanwhile, François Deblock portrays a sensitive, light-hearted Horace, driven by the spirit of emancipation. A wonderful opportunity to rediscover this timeless masterpiece.
