A family with fragmented memories, boxes filled with unspoken truths: straddling the line between personal narratives and collective history, this coming-of-age tale explores forgotten memories and examines the legacies that shape France.
With humor, the two actor-playwrights shed light on paradoxes, deconstruct stereotypes, and summon a few ghosts. Colonial history, far from being a thing of the past, persists in a present that struggles to recognize itself. Straddling collective memory and fiction, the performance takes shape through the interplay of faces, voices, childhood memories, and ancestors. A shared past between France and Africa resurfaces, sincere and vibrant.
