"Wedged between sea and hills, ponds and pine forests, wasteland and vineyards,
between villages and factories, my hinterland.
From this multitude of faces, these factories shape the environment, engulfing their workers and releasing fumes and clouds of steam, lighting up the space like a Christmas tree or lighthouses guiding ships, they are inseparable from the urban fabric.
Like so many others, I've worked in them, spending my days and sometimes my nights there, constantly rubbing shoulders with them during my travels and leisure activities.
Despite their nuisance, they live with us and accompany us in our daily lives. But without them, how many of us would be living in this
Hinterland?
