"Initially, these images were produced to accompany the Fête du Train in Miramas, and since then, some of them have been permanently displayed in the Miramas station.
Hired in 1982 at the Miramas rail yard, I was already a keen photographer.
I've always enjoyed photographing my fellow workers. For "Gueules de cheminots", my aim is to capture what's left of this world, to bear witness to the existence of these workers and to pay tribute to them. As a representative of the Comité d'établissement des cheminots in Miramas from 2011 to 2015, I believe that openness to culture is a means of emancipation and awakening consciences.
Photography enables us to "translate things into an emotional language".
Free admission Monday to Friday, 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m., weekends depending on events. Guided tour in his presence Tuesday January 16 at 5pm, by appointment 04 13 29 50 83.
