Lecture on Archaeological Research in Istres : This lecture focuses on archaeological research conducted in Istres, from the Bronze Age to the modern era, with contributions from several specialists from INRAP.
The conference sheds light on the history of the Istres territory through presentations by INRAP researchers. Topics include the evolution of the Carmes district from the medieval to modern periods, discoveries from excavations on Boulevard Frédéric Mistral (Roman roads and medieval suburbs), as well as ancient occupations at the Rassuen site and the surroundings of the Castellan, spanning from the late Bronze Age to the protohistoric and ancient periods.
