Discover the historic center of Istres and its medieval past on a guided tour for the 2023 European Heritage Days, with the tourist office!

The first written traces of this ancient town date back to the 10th century, in 966 to be exact! Istres has a truly historic, fortified center.
This tour takes you up to the belvedere overlooking Istres and Notre Dame de Beauvoir (12th-century church). The guide will explain the specific features of the habitat of old Istres, the way the houses were built, and the history and legends surrounding the town.
