Enrique Ponce included Istres in his farewell tour. It's true that the bullfighting history of Istres will be forever linked to Enrique. Imagine the number of arenas that would have loved to hire him, but were unable to due to the short season he decided to take. He has become the idol of Istres. What's more, he's agreed to take on this new generation. An emotional afternoon that could well go down in history.
David Galvan makes his debut in Istres. Here's another young toro matador on the rise. Despite seasons without a contract and serious injuries, his bullfighting is beautiful, classic and dominant.
The consistency of his past season speaks volumes about his abilities. A great discovery for French aficionados. Finally, "Clemente" has earned his place in this prestigious cartel. He has just been declared best matador of the temporada in the South-West. Gamarde, Arles, Istres, La Brède, Dax and Bayonne all witnessed his pure bullfighting and his evolution.
