The CTEM and the arena director have extended their hand to three deserving young matadors for this morning bullfight.
The Nîmes matador returns to the Palio after a fine 2023 season. Nîmes, Dax and Les Saintes in particular will have witnessed this. "El Rafi" is a young matador who is evolving from year to year. Istres is waiting for him to distill his classic, fiery bullfighting style.
The people of Béziers will not be content with yesterday's bullfight. They will also be keen to support Carlos Olsina. Istres offered him a triumphant alternative. Olsina had the merit, for the second bullfight of his life, of facing the toros of the Curé de Valverde. Mailhan's bullfight is a wonderful opportunity.
He was able to rise to the level of a great toro by Margé, forgiving its life last year in Béziers.
In August, the empresa attended Jorge Martinez's alternative bullfight in Almeria.
His infectious enthusiasm certainly motivated the CTEM to allow him to bullfight. His pure bullfighting has already been much talked about. His 2024 season, however, will be crucial. He will approach this Istré bullfight, which will be his first in France, with the mental strength that characterizes him so well.
