Presentation
Ana Pérez, nicknamed "the black pearl of flamenco", and the musician José Sanchez, embark on the creation of a secular, sung and choreographed version of the religious poem.
The Stabat Mater evokes the figure of a woman who remained standing in the face of the loss of a child. This body embodies both the greatest sorrows and dignity, a dual impulse inherent in flamenco dance, in total harmony with the baroque sounds of the theorbo.
