United States, 12 men, during the deliberation of a trial, judge a young man accused of parricide.
It's acquittal or the electric chair. While eleven of them are convinced of his guilt, one juror will raise doubts. A legal drama in which the intelligence, humanity, and perseverance of a single man will challenge the certainties of the others. This play, with its eminently modern themes, written in 1953 and adapted for the screen by Sydney Lumet, questions how justice is administered and shows us the extent to which prejudice and intolerance can determine a man's life.
