Presentation

The traditional Saint Jean festival is celebrated at the Saint-Michel chapel on the St Etienne hill. This evening is completely free and open to all.
The Program :

6pm: Religious service in front of the Saint Michel chapel.
Followed, at the Orientation Table, by the blessing of the St. John crosses and the commemoration of 30 years since the renovation of the Chapel and 20 years since the construction of the Orientation Table.

On the plateau, blessing of the horses, followed by a tribute to Jacques Gazon.

7:30 pm: Musical aperitif, followed by a sack lunch with an exchange of "Estevenoun" (small shortbread cake),

9:45pm: Welcoming of the Saint Jean flame, with reading of the official message from fire maintenance.

Singing and dancing around the fire.

This evening is totally free and open to all.

Don't forget to bring :
Your meal, one or more small bundles of wood (size 20 to 30 cm long by 5 to 10 cm in diameter), a flashlight, warm clothing, and all your friends...
If you're dressed in white, all the better (but not compulsory).
If you have musical instruments, don't forget them.

To get to the site, take the road around the Etang de l'Olivier as far as the oratory on the Chemin de St Etienne, then follow the signs.

There is a parking lot just behind the chapel. It's imperative to use it to keep vehicles off the site and preserve the beauty of the landscape for everyone.
