Sound stroll: Pamparigouste expedition, heading for Istres

An audio tour by the Bureau des Guides du GR2013, directed by Pascal Messaoudi and co-produced by the Istres Tourist Office.

Dive into the reverse side of the map, to better (re) discover the shores of this hauntingly beautiful lagoon. In the 2015 edition of the Michelin Atlas, the Etang de Berre disappears. A hybrid crew of artists, local residents and scientists come together to find out what lies behind this disappearance. Little by little, the crew grows from all the encounters made along the way. Mussels, eelgrass and torchères tell the story of Pamparigouste: a hidden island where life is sweet and happy.

This audio walk recounts the search for this island, which ancient legends place somewhere in the Etang de Berre. It's from the shores of Istres, and the secrets they conceal, that the Pamparigouste crew invites you to (re)explore this pond. What if this disappearance in the Atlas was a clue leading us to the island of our dreams?

A sound walk available free of charge whenever you like, and to be enjoyed on your own, equipped with your smartphone and headphones.
