PROVENCAL VILLAGE WITH A RICH HISTORY
Located close to the Crau plain, populations were first installed in that territory for its pond. Mention also found in some texts of "Oasis in the Crau." Traces of ancient sheep have been found and the Greeks and Romans enjoyed its verdant garden.
Moreover, the geographical location of the village has always been important in its development. An ancient road linking Arles to Martigues went through Entressen. During XIV century, an observation tower was built which surved as a toll. This is the Tour of Queen Jeanne ! Virtually square (9m x 8,35m) it rises to 16,40m. The walls were made with stones size limestone extracted from the surrounding hills. Since 1998, the tower is included in the inventory of Historical Monuments.
The old railway station created the face of the current village (closed to passengers in 1938), built on the axis Avignon-Marseille in the mid 19th century. If a few "Mas" already existed, many others have emerged. These are typical "mas"of Entressen. Many of them were places of resorts for "Marseillais" who spent the weekend to rest or hunt Entressen.
Nowadays, these "Mas" often turned to agriculture and especially the culture of Crau hay, the onbly AOP food which is not intended for man !
Entressen become a district in its own right of our beautiful city.

Facilities are able to provide training and accommodate large groups: workshops, changing rooms, classrooms, safety equipment, bathroom facilities, etc.
At the pond, many fishermen devote themselves to their favourite activity. The pond is overflowing with fish such as zander, carp, tench, gudgeon, roach, common rudd and bream.
